Write an Article in a Week

The best way to learn to do something is to do it. On this short course you’ll learn what makes a good article and you’ll actually write one!

Weekend One
We’ll look at the ingredients of a good article, how to plan, research, identify interviewees and do good interviews. Everyone will come up with an idea to work on.

During the Week
You’ll go out (virtually if necessary) to research and write your article. You may also send your article to me for feedback/light editing before presenting it to the class on Weekend Two.

Weekend Two
You’ll bring your article back for the class to enjoy. We’ll consider the role of the sub-editor/proofreader, and we’ll look at markets for your work and how to pitch it.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with some writing experience.
